Brain Health: Does Alcohol Use Increase Your Risk of Dementia?

As I sought to write this blog about Alcohol use being a risk factor for Dementia, I believed the answer was, “yes.” As I researched all the major national institutions looking for the data to support my assumption, I was surprised by how little confirming information there was on this. Certainly, there are studies showing that heavy drinking can cause Alcohol-related dementias but little direct correlation between drinking and the risk of developing dementia.
